Largo, FL – ONICON Incorporated introduces the FP-4400 Portable Clamp-on Ultrasonic Flow Meter; the ideal, non-invasive tool for testing and validating liquid flow in full pipes.
* Easy set-up via intuitive menus
* Support – onboard diagnostics & technical support from ONICON
* Versatile – one instrument for ½” to 48″ pipe sizes
* Wide flow range – 400:1 turndown from 0.1 ft/s to 40 ft/s
* Trusted solution – NIST traceable calibration with certificate
* Built-in 12 million point data logger
ONICON’s FP-4400 is the perfect solution for flow testing and baseline monitoring in pressurized systems. The FP-4400 utilizes clamp-on transducers to measure flow through the pipe wall via the transit time ultrasonic measurement principle. Each unit comes with three transducer sets for optimal performance with pipes ranging from 1/2″ to 48″ in diameter, even older steel pipes. The meter is easily programmed and can be powered up to 15 hours on the rechargeable battery, or operated continuously with included AC power adapter. Flow trending over time is supported with the built-in data logger that can capture up to 12 million data points, which can then be downloaded directly to your PC via USB flash drive.
“The FP-4400’s on-screen waveform capture helps the user to easily diagnose and correct installation and application errors, and its data logging function allows for the collection and compilation of flow information over extended periods for analysis.” says Daniel Brown, Sales Application Engineer for ONICON Incorporated. “It is excellent for validating readings of existing flow meters or for system testing and balancing. I have personally used the FP-4400 in the field to confirm readings from a flow meter that was in question by the plant manager and found that it measured within 1% of the value displayed on the installed meter.”
