Position Summary:

Immediate need for an experienced Credit and Collections Manager with a minimum 5 years of progressive, successful experience. Manufacturing industry experience is a major plus.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers. The goal of this position is to maximize our collection rate and minimize risk by consistently reviewing past-due accounts and making recommendations regarding account status.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and standardize written policy documentation related to the credit and customer set up process.
Interface with sales department to communicate credit decisions and ensure timely review of new customers.
Review credit hold orders to ensure timely release.
Make credit decisions within assigned authority.
Plan and organize activities to ensure file reviews are completed timely and accurately.
Contact customers regarding payment of overdue invoices.
Resolve credit issues with customers.
Prepare collection and credit reports and assist with month-end tasks.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in Credit and Collections.
Strong computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
A solid understanding of credit reporting agencies (D&B, Equifax, etc.).
Fluency in English
Pleasant and approachable manner with the ability to effectively communicate at different levels within Onicon’s and customer’s organization.
Analytical approach to problem solving.
Excellent organization and customer service skills.
